As you may know, the original Naval Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (NROTC) units were established by Congress in 1925, and six universities including Northwestern, Harvard, Yale, UC Berkely, U of Washington, and Georgia Tech opened them in 1926. We are now celebrating our centennial, and would like to invite you to participate (if possible) at our gala 100TH Birthday party to be held in concert with this year’s Homecoming celebration weekend.
Dear Northwestern NROTC Alumni,
We are excited to invite you to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Northwestern NROTC on Saturday, October 10, 2026, during Northwestern Homecoming Weekend.
This milestone marks a century of leadership, service, and the enduring legacy of the men and women who have been part of the unit. We hope you will join us as we reconnect with fellow alumni and commemorate this historic occasion.
Throughout the day, alumni will have the opportunity to tour the unit, explore a historical exhibit highlighting the past 100 years of Northwestern NROTC, reconnect with classmates at a pregame tailgate, attend the Northwestern Homecoming football game, and conclude the celebration with a Centennial Gala Dinner.
Attached is a commemorative Centennial Celebration flyer. We encourage you to share it with fellow alumni and members of the Northwestern NROTC community.
To assist with planning, we kindly ask that you complete the RSVP form below. Your response will help us estimate attendance, finalize event logistics, and gauge interest in commemorative merchandise.

Very Respectfully,
Michael Jin MIDN,
