As you may know, the original Naval Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (NROTC) units were established by Congress in 1925, and six universities including Northwestern, Harvard, Yale, UC Berkely, U of Washington, and Georgia Tech opened them in 1926. We are now celebrating our centennial, and would like to invite you to participate (if possible) at our gala 100th Birthday party to be held in concert with this year’s Homecoming celebration weekend.
While plans are still in the formative stage, we expect to likely include: an open house and tailgate at the Unit Offices, football game attendance, formal dinner, and especially time to reminisce and tell sea stories about our time at Northwestern, as well as our time on active duty.
More information will be forthcoming over the next few months, and a special mailing and information in our website (nu-nrotc.org) will also be available to keep you updated. Hope to see you all there!
